Leave a little room

When the schedule allows it, leave a little room between where you have to be and how you get there. Pull over somewhere safe. Put the phone away. Let the place be more than a blur through the window.

Bring the story back

A detour does not need to be epic to count. Sometimes the whole story is a cup of coffee and a conversation you would otherwise have missed.

A little less interstate.
A little more story.
